'Dolbom SOS Centers' to Be Expanded in 25 Autonomous Districts of Seoul
High Satisfaction with Pilot Operation in 5 Districts Last July
Care Managers Visit Directly to Establish Care Plans
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] 'Care SOS Centers' will be expanded and installed in all 25 autonomous districts of Seoul.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 4th that it started a pilot operation in five districts last July and will significantly expand it.
The Care SOS Center is an institution that provides customized welfare services and is installed and operated within the community service centers. When applying by phone or visit, a care manager visits directly to assess the required services and then establishes a care plan.
Along with this expansion, the scope of care services will also be broadened. The eligible users will be adjusted from those aged 65 and older and persons with disabilities to those aged 50 and older and persons with disabilities, and the cost support target will be temporarily expanded from those with median income below 85% to those below 100%.

Citizens who are not eligible for cost support can use the services at their own expense. The annual cost support limit has been raised from 1.42 million KRW to 1.76 million KRW per person.
