[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Two people who stayed abroad and entered the country in Gyeongnam were diagnosed with COVID-19.
Gyeongnam Province announced on the 4th that a woman in her 50s living in Changwon and a man in his 50s under self-quarantine in Miryang tested positive for COVID-19.
The woman in her 50s, who was staying in India for work, entered Incheon Airport on the 2nd.
She was asymptomatic at the time and did not undergo a COVID-19 test during quarantine, and arrived at Masan Station by a train dedicated to overseas arrivals.
Afterwards, she used a Changwon city van from Masan Station to her home.
The woman was tested on the next day after entry, the 3rd, and was confirmed positive that day and admitted to Masan Medical Center.
The man in his 50s, who visited Uzbekistan for work, entered Incheon Airport on the 30th of last month.
He was also asymptomatic and traveled to Miryang Station by a train dedicated to overseas arrivals.
From Miryang Station to the quarantine location, he used a 119 ambulance.
While under self-quarantine, he developed a sore throat on the 2nd and was tested, resulting in a positive diagnosis, and was admitted to Masan Medical Center.
One colleague who entered the country together tested negative.
