Jinju City Library Second Half Year Cultural Classes Operation
Applications Open from the 5th... Various Programs Operate from September 1st
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Jinju City in Gyeongnam announced on the 4th that it will operate cultural classes in the second half of the year at the municipal library to provide local residents with opportunities for healthy leisure activities, self-development, and lifelong education.
The cultural classes, held from September to November, will recruit 198 participants ranging from 6-year-old children to the general public.
At Yeonam Library, 2 courses including "Private Herbal Medicine Lifestyle" will be offered; at the Children's Specialized Library, 6 courses including "Korean History through Maps" will be available; at Bibong Children's Library, 3 courses including "Abacus and Mental Arithmetic" will be held; and at Dodong Children's Library, 4 courses including "Learning English through Picture Books" will be provided, totaling 15 programs.
A library official said, "We hope this cultural class will relieve the thirst for cultural life caused by COVID-19," and added, "We are doing our best to prepare programs so that reading activities can be conducted in a safe and comfortable environment according to the living quarantine guidelines."
