Six Drug Traffickers Arrested and Indicted for Smuggling Drugs via International Mail
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Min Jun-young] Six drug offenders who smuggled drugs into the country disguised as international mail have been arrested and prosecuted.
The Criminal Division 4 of Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Kim Hyung-seok) announced on the 4th that four people, including A (54) and B (27), were arrested and prosecuted on charges of violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes, and two others, including C (39), were also arrested and prosecuted on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
A is suspected of secretly purchasing 2003g of methamphetamine from Cambodia in May by hiding it in a paint can and sending it through international mail.
B and three others were caught by prosecutors after smuggling 287.2g of methamphetamine hidden in coffee packaging through express cargo mail in June.
All of them are known to be foreign nationals of Malaysian nationality.

C and two others were also caught smuggling 432.89g of marijuana hidden inside a teddy bear through international mail from the United States in June.
