One Person Swept Away and Missing in Manhole in Asan Due to Heavy Rain...
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] At around 2:23 PM on the 3rd, a 119 emergency call reporting "one person fell into a manhole" was received by the fire authorities near a horse riding center in Tangjeong-myeon, Asan-si, Chungnam, prompting a search operation.
The missing person was reported to have been swept into the manhole by water pressure while clearing debris carried away by heavy rain.
Earlier at around 2:20 PM the same day, a resident in Songak-myeon fell into a rapid current but was rescued by 119 personnel. No serious injuries were reported.
