Lotte Department Store Sells Patented Swiss Kickboard 'Micro Kickboard'
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] With summer vacation and holidays approaching, demand for play toys is increasing, and products targeting this trend are being released.
Lotte Department Store announced on the 2nd that starting from the 3rd, it will showcase the Swiss kickboard brand ‘Micro Kickboard’ at four Tobox stores located in the main store, Jamsil branch, Yeongdeungpo branch, and Gimpo Airport branch. The representative products are ‘Mini Hands Deluxe LED’ and ‘Maxi T Deluxe LED’.
Micro Kickboard is a Swiss kickboard brand sold in 83 countries worldwide, known for its sophisticated technology and safety. Despite being priced over five times higher than regular kickboards due to patented technology that provides lightweight and stable riding experience, it is gaining attention among parents raising children as a ‘luxury brand in the kickboard world.’
Additionally, from the 3rd to the 28th, a promotion will be held where customers who purchase a Micro Kickboard and Tobox sneakers together will receive a 10% discount on the sneakers. This considers the fact that many customers purchase sneakers along with the kickboard.
With the increase in outdoor activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, demand has risen for bicycles and electric kickboards among adults, and electric cars and kickboards among children. In fact, sales of children’s ride-on toys at Lotte Department Store grew by 26% from May to July compared to the same period last year. Especially, sales of ‘Micro Kickboard’ at the Busan main store increased by 39%.
