[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] A pregnant woman in the United States was fatally shot by a bullet that suddenly flew into her home.
The 28-week fetus, who was born prematurely due to the incident, is in critical condition.
According to CNN on the 1st (local time), a shooting occurred in a residential area of Howard County, Maryland, USA, resulting in the death of pregnant woman Ramiya Ahmed (30).
The police stated, "On the previous night, an unexpected shooting was directed at the house where Ahmed lived," adding, "Ahmed, who was hit by one bullet, was transported to the University of Maryland Trauma Center but ultimately passed away."
Medical staff reported that the fetus inside Ahmed's womb was delivered but remains in a critical state.
