Iksan City Enhances Communication Through Monthly Sharing Meetings
Sharing Current Tasks of Headquarters and Eup, Myeon, Dong Department Heads
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jae-hee] Iksan City, Jeonbuk Province, has decided to strengthen communication among employees by periodically sharing major current tasks and excellent policies of towns and townships.
On the 31st, the city announced that it held a sharing meeting chaired by Mayor Jeong Heon-yul, attended by heads of 29 towns and townships and department heads related to current tasks.
At the meeting, in-depth discussions were held focusing on livelihood issues such as the stable promotion of the Hope Job Project to overcome COVID-19, preparation of natural disaster measures for the summer season, and welcoming tourists using the World Heritage sites.
The city plans to hold a monthly sharing meeting with heads of towns and townships to strengthen dense collaboration between the city hall and towns and townships.
Mayor Jeong Heon-yul said, “The ultimate goal of city administration is to create a harmonious Iksan where all citizens are happy,” adding, “City hall and towns and townships must actively work to minimize inconveniences by always being close to citizens, observing the field, and listening to citizens’ opinions.”
He continued, “In addition to COVID-19 quarantine, continuous safety inspections and management must be strengthened to prepare for concentrated heavy rains and heat waves in summer,” adding, “We must carefully check whether there is any damage to local facilities such as greenhouses and vulnerable households due to the prolonged heavy rains.”
