[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Samsung Electronics announced on the 30th that its display division recorded sales of 6.72 trillion KRW and an operating profit of 300 billion KRW in the second quarter.
In the second quarter, the display business saw an overall decline in panel demand, but performance improved compared to the previous quarter due to one-time revenue. The small and medium-sized display business was affected by a decrease in smartphone sales mainly in advanced countries due to the spread of COVID-19.
