President Moon's Approval Rating at 45.6%... Slight Rebound [Realmeter]
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] President Moon Jae-in's approval rating saw a slight rebound.
According to Realmeter, which conducted a public opinion survey commissioned by tbs from the 27th to the 29th, the positive evaluation of President Moon's state affairs management rose by 1.2 percentage points compared to the previous week's aggregate, reaching 45.6%, the agency announced on the 30th. Negative evaluations dropped by 2.1 percentage points to 50.1%. The gap between positive and negative evaluations was 4.5 percentage points, within the margin of error.
Positive evaluations increased notably in Daegu·Gyeongbuk (up 7.6 percentage points), Honam region (up 5.8 percentage points), those aged 70 and above (up 4.1 percentage points), and in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector (up 8.7 percentage points) as well as self-employed workers (up 6.7 percentage points).
On the other hand, negative evaluations rose prominently in Seoul (up 3.7 percentage points), conservatives (up 2.9 percentage points), and office workers (up 3.1 percentage points).
Regarding party support, the Democratic Party of Korea rose by 0.4 percentage points to 37.9%, and the United Future Party increased by 0.9 percentage points to 32.6%. The Justice Party fell by 0.2 percentage points to 4.5%, the Open Democratic Party dropped by 0.5 percentage points to 3.9%, and the People’s Party declined by 0.3 percentage points to 3.4%.

The survey contacted 32,677 voters aged 18 and over nationwide, with a final response of 1,511 people, recording a response rate of 4.6%. The sampling error is ±2.5 percentage points at a 95% confidence level. For more details, refer to the Central Election Survey Deliberation Commission website.
