Beanpole Accessories Launches Logo Renewal 'Retro Bean'
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Samsung C&T Fashion Division's Beanpole Accessories announced on the 28th that it has developed a signature pattern combining the heritage-filled old logo and the renewed new logo, and released the 'Retro Bean' which utilizes this pattern for the first time.
Beanpole Accessories harmonized the old logo used in 2010 with the new logo introduced during the brand renewal for the Spring/Summer 2020 season. They developed a monogram pattern combining the round-shaped old BP logo inspired by a bicycle wheel and the angular new BP logo emphasizing a modern sensibility.
The Retro Bean features a brown polyvinyl chloride (PVC) base with the monogram pattern, complemented by cowhide trimming in ivory, green, and brown colors. Although it is a patterned bag, it is designed with a soft and neutral brown color to avoid being overwhelming.
It was released in four styles: mini tote, saddle, and pouch. The mini tote is small but practical, fitting a smartphone and a few cosmetics, in line with the recent mini bag trend. It has a detachable strap, allowing it to be worn as a crossbody bag.
The saddle style has a pocket on the back for good storage capacity, and the pouch has an adjustable strap length, enabling both shoulder and crossbody styling.
Lee Sang-woo, team leader of Beanpole Accessories, said, “We developed a unique pattern that harmonizes the old and new logos to preserve Beanpole’s heritage and retro sensibility without losing sophistication. The Retro Bean, which incorporates recently popular styles such as mini bags and saddles, will be a trendy choice for women.”
