[Breaking] COVID-19 Case Confirmed in Eumseong, Chungbuk, Foreigner from the Philippines
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] On the 26th, Chungbuk Province announced that a foreigner in their 30s tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Eumseong.
According to Chungbuk Province, a foreigner in their 30s, Mr. A, was confirmed positive for COVID-19 based on a specimen test conducted the previous day and was admitted to Cheongju Medical Center.
Mr. A entered the country on the 12th via Incheon Airport from the Philippines. Although he tested negative in a specimen test conducted by the Eumseong-gun Public Health Center, he tested positive in a test conducted just before the end of his self-quarantine.
It is known that Mr. A had no other contacts as he was in self-quarantine immediately after entering the country.
