Gyeonggi-do 'Disaster Basic Income' 97.2% Applied... Deadline This Month 31st
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is accepting applications for the 'Disaster Basic Income,' which provides 100,000 KRW per person, until the 31st of this month.
Gyeonggi Province began accepting applications on April 9 for residents of the province, including Korean nationals, marriage immigrants, and permanent residents, to revitalize local small businesses affected by COVID-19, providing 100,000 KRW per person as disaster basic income. As of midnight on the 24th, 12.9 million people, accounting for 97.2% of the total provincial population, have applied for the disaster basic income. The total amount paid is 2.0074 trillion KRW.
The province is currently only accepting on-site applications for prepaid cards.
Applicants must bring identification, and proxy applications are accepted without a separate power of attorney from direct lineal ascendants/descendants, spouses, and spouses' direct lineal ascendants/descendants.
