The Premier League office announced on the 24th, "It has been agreed to start the 2020-2021 season on September 12." The final round of the next season will be held on May 23, 2021.
The Premier League office added that it will continue to consult with the Football Association (FA) and the English Football League (EFL) regarding the schedules of all domestic competitions.
The 2019-2020 Premier League season, affected by the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), experienced about a three-month suspension period and will hold its final match on the 26th of this month (midnight on the 27th Korean time).
After resuming the league with matches played behind closed doors, the season was completed despite a tight schedule, but the delay in finishing caused the new season's start to be about a month later than usual.
