The musical "Ghost" is based on the 1990 film "Ghost," starring Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore, which was a huge success. The original creator Bruce Joel Rubin, who won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for this film, wrote the musical script. Matthew Warchus, who won the Tony Award for "The Norman Conquests" and the Olivier Award for "Matilda," directed the musical. Music was composed by pop music legends Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, and special effects were created by Paul Kieve, who produced the magic effects for the "Harry Potter" films, completing the performance. After its West End premiere, the musical was performed on Broadway in the U.S., as well as in Australia, the Netherlands, Italy, Hungary, and other countries.
