Gangnam-gu Hosts 'Open Innovation' to Discover Promising Startups
On the 23rd at 2:30 PM, 10 companies with technologies in 6 fields including Smart City were selected at COEX Startup Branch
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu District Office (Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) will hold an open innovation event to discover promising startups with fresh ideas and technologies at the COEX Startup Branch from 2:30 PM on the 23rd.
The Gangnam-gu?Startup Open Innovation is the first of its kind nationwide in the field of autonomous administration. Attendees at the event include Jeong Soon-gyun, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, Kim Young-joo, Chairman of the Korea International Trade Association, and representatives from 10 startups.
Since April, Gangnam-gu has been recruiting startups to participate in the open innovation program and has finally selected 10 companies with excellent technologies in six fields: ▲Smart City ▲Administration and Civil Service ▲Cleaning ▲Disaster Safety ▲Road and Traffic.
Based on the technologies unveiled by the startups on this day, the district office will review the feasibility of actual administrative implementation and plans to disclose the progress at the ‘Startup Festival’ to be held in October.
