According to Dongwon F&B on the 24th, ‘Dongwon Boseong Green Tea’ has recently established itself as a trendy and healthy beverage through the launch of new products that improved taste and aroma while reflecting consumer needs. At the same time, with the recent increase in home training, meditation, and self-isolation, interest in healthy beverages has risen, drawing attention as a ‘healing beverage’ for the millennial generation.
In fact, the annual sales of the ‘Dongwon Boseong Green Tea’ brand have rapidly grown with an average annual growth rate of 40.2% over three years from 2017 to 2019. This growth is attributed to ‘Dongwon Boseong Green Tea’ capturing consumers’ palates as an aseptic-filled green tea that preserves the original taste and aroma of green tea.
‘Dongwon Boseong Green Tea’ is an aseptic-filled green tea that uses aseptic filling technology introduced at the newly established Dongwon Systems Hoengseong factory, which was built with an investment of about 100 billion KRW at the group level. Aseptic filling is a method of filling beverages into PET bottles in a sterile facility where external bacterial contamination is impossible. This method’s strength lies in maintaining the nutrients of the raw materials to the maximum while preserving the unique taste and aroma. As a result, it offers a much richer yet refreshing flavor compared to typical tea beverages, reducing the characteristic astringency of green tea and instead leaving a subtle sweetness on the tip of the tongue.
The eco-friendly and trendy renewal of the ‘Dongwon Boseong Green Tea’ container design has also attracted consumers’ attention. Compared to regular PET bottles of the same volume, the amount of plastic used has been reduced by about 20%, leading the way in ‘must-environmental’ management, and the sleek, refined PET bottle design allows consumers to enjoy it anytime and anywhere without burden.
