3 Cases Related to Gangseo Nursing Facility and 5 Cases of Unknown Transmission Route

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Thirteen new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Seoul were added this afternoon. The cumulative number of confirmed cases is 1,511.
On the 21st, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that 13 new patients were identified on the day. The routes of infection were ▲1 case from overseas contact ▲3 cases related to a nursing facility in Gangseo-gu ▲1 case related to an office in Gangnam-gu ▲1 case related to the K Building office in Gangnam-gu, ▲2 other cases ▲and 5 cases with unknown routes.
The number of patients related to the nursing facility in Gangseo-gu is at least 15 nationwide, including 14 in Seoul. The 'Gangnam-gu office related' and 'Gangnam-gu office K Building related' cases have cumulative confirmed cases of 24 and 4 in Seoul, respectively.
Confirmed cases by autonomous districts in Seoul include Dongjak-gu (case 66), Dongdaemun-gu (case 42), and Jongno-gu (case 27). Case 66 in Dongjak-gu (in his 60s, Daebang-dong) is presumed to have been infected by case 36 in Geumcheon-gu (Doksan 3-dong, confirmed on the 18th), who is related to the 'Gangnam-gu office' cluster. At least seven additional confirmed cases have been identified among contacts of case 36 in Geumcheon. Many of them were found to be involved in real estate-related work.

Case 42 in Dongdaemun-gu (Imun 1-dong) had symptoms such as fever and body aches starting from the 18th and went to pick up their child from a nearby daycare around 12:30 PM on the 20th, but no contacts occurred as the patient was wearing a mask. All four cohabiting family members tested negative and have been self-quarantining since the 21st. Case 27 in Jongno-gu was an imported case with no notable contacts or movement paths.
