KEPCO Hosts Online Export Consultation for SMEs... Supporting Market Expansion
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) announced on the 21st that it held an online export consultation meeting to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) struggling with exports due to the COVID-19 pandemic to develop new sales channels.
According to KEPCO, 20 partner companies participated in the five-day consultation held from the 13th to the 17th, conducting one-on-one export consultations with 59 promising buyers from Vietnam and Thailand.
Through this, a total of 126 export consultations were conducted. The total consultation amount reached 84 million USD (approximately 100 billion KRW).
Prior to this, on the 10th, KEPCO held the third practical meeting with representatives of the Korea Federation of SMEs and the Small and Medium Electrical Equipment Enterprises Association at the Korea Federation of SMEs conference room in Yeouido, Seoul.
At the meeting, practical support measures for SMEs were discussed, including expanding joint overseas business ventures with SMEs when promoting KEPCO's overseas projects, export support measures in the non-face-to-face era, and the online hosting of the 2020 Bitgaram International Electric Power Technology Expo (BIXPO 2020).

A KEPCO official said, "We plan to expand support projects for SMEs to develop sales channels in the non-face-to-face era, such as online export product halls and energy technology markets."
