Tourism Organization, Nationwide Vote for Virtual Travel Enjoyed at Home
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 21st that it will hold a national voting event for virtual reality travel videos to help satisfy the public's travel thirst intensified by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The voting targets a total of 20 videos selected through expert review from the entries submitted to last month's "Stay-at-Home Max Level Challenge! Virtual Reality Travel Video Contest," which aimed to promote non-face-to-face travel in the COVID-19 era. The voting period runs until the 31st. Through the voting, one team will be awarded the Grand Prize (prize money of 1 million won), three teams will receive Excellence Awards (prize money of 500,000 won), and five teams will receive Encouragement Awards (prize money of 100,000 won).
