Grand Korea Leisure Announces 'Joint Declaration to Eradicate Power Abuse in Labor Relations'

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) announced on the 21st that it held a 'Joint Declaration to Eradicate Power Harassment in Labor Relations' to create a respectful workplace at the GKL headquarters conference room in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, attended by President Yoo Tae-yeol, Labor Union Chairman Jeon Jin-soo, and about 30 executives and employees.
The event proceeded with the participants' oath of the joint declaration, followed by the signing of the declaration by President Yoo Tae-yeol and Labor Union Chairman Jeon Jin-soo. The main contents of the declaration include ▲ prevention of work instructions violating laws and regulations ▲ prevention of demands and acceptance of private benefits ▲ prevention of irregularities in recruitment, promotion, and personnel matters ▲ prevention of dehumanizing behavior ▲ prevention of forced overtime work, among others.
Chairman Jeon Jin-soo said, "I ask everyone to ensure that today's gathering does not end with just a declaration but leads to practice and results." President Yoo Tae-yeol added, "If we approach work with respect for others and thoughtful words and actions, power harassment issues will disappear."
