Buan-gun Establishes Integrated Platform for Rapid Disaster Response
Selected in Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Contest, Secured 1.2 Billion KRW
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jaehee] Buan-gun, Jeonbuk, is embarking on the establishment of a smart city integrated platform to enable rapid response in the event of a disaster situation.
On the 20th, Buan-gun announced that it was finally selected for this year's smart city integrated platform infrastructure construction contest project hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, securing a project budget of 1.2 billion KRW.
The smart city integrated platform is a system that shares real-time footage from about 500 CCTVs installed within the jurisdiction with the disaster situation room, 119 comprehensive situation room, 112 situation room, and others to assist in rapid response when crimes or disaster situations occur.
Once this project is completed, in the event of various incidents and accidents, related agencies and the CCTV integrated control center will be able to transmit and link videos to quickly resolve issues.
Also, the 112 and 119 centers, along with police officers and firefighters dispatched to the scene, will be able to view CCTVs around the incident or accident while responding, thereby enhancing response capabilities.
Furthermore, CCTV footage can be linked not only with the police and fire departments but also with the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, disaster situation rooms, and private security companies, creating a safer and more convenient living environment.
