Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Provides Additional Support for 'COVID-19 Emergency Personnel'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 20th that it will provide additional personnel to 22 city and county education support offices in the province to respond to COVID-19.
The Office of Education plans to temporarily assign one dedicated public official each to six education support offices in Mokpo, Yeosu, Suncheon, Naju, Gwangyang, and Muan?where the workload has especially increased due to COVID-19 response?until the end of this year, and to assign one practical trainee each from among newly appointed candidates to the remaining 16 regions.
In addition, one daily worker will be additionally assigned at the entrance of the office building for temperature checks and building management, and the budget for this will be supported.
The urgently supported additional personnel will be deployed to each city and county education support office in Jeonnam to carry out tasks such as quarantine and infectious disease response.

Deputy Superintendent Lee Ki-bong said, “We have taken emergency personnel support measures to assist Jeonnam education staff who are working hard to respond to COVID-19 and to ensure effective quarantine and infectious disease management. We are also considering extending the personnel support period and providing additional support depending on the future spread of COVID-19.”
