Actor Kim Ji-woo Mourns Late Miura Haruma: "Sincerely Pray for the Deceased's Peace"

Kim Ji-woo said, "Four years ago, after finishing an exciting performance as Lauren in 'Kinky Boots,' I entered the waiting room when a man who looked familiar came in. Where had I seen him... Ah! It was Miura-san, who perfectly played the role of Lola in the Japanese production of 'Kinky Boots.' Since he was very active in various dramas and movies, I also knew well who actor Miura Haruma was."
She continued, "Feeling happy to see him, I greeted him and, with my limited Japanese skills, asked if he enjoyed the performance. Shyly, he gave a thumbs-up and said, 'It was the best,' recalling the moment."
She added, "Although we were performing in different languages and countries, I could fully feel that we were performing 'Kinky Boots' with the same heart and that we both loved performing, which made me feel warm and proud."
She then said, "After reading the news, I didn’t want to believe it, but feeling empty, I couldn’t sleep in the early morning," and expressed her condolences, saying, "I sincerely pray for the repose of the deceased."
Earlier, according to Japanese media reports on the 18th, Miura Haruma was found dead at his home in Minato Ward, Tokyo. He was 30 years old. As a result, he topped real-time search rankings on domestic portal sites, and a wave of mourning continued in Korea as well.
Born in 1990, Miura Haruma debuted in the NHK drama 'Aguri.' He later appeared in films such as 'Koizora: Sayonara, Love All That,' 'Gokusen - The Movie,' 'Kimi ni Todoke,' and 'Gintama 2: Rules Are Made to Be Broken,' gaining recognition among domestic fans as well.
