7 COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Gwangju... Contact with Seoul Songpa Case No. 60
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Seven COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Gwangju. They had contact with the Seoul Songpa District patient number 60, who is a family member or relative.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 18th, seven people including a woman in her 30s who had contact with the Seoul Songpa 60th patient, her spouse, son, daughter, and relatives tested positive for COVID-19. They were classified as Gwangju cases 177 to 183.
The Songpa 60th patient was confirmed positive on the 15th after contact with Bucheon patient number 179.
As a result of epidemiological investigation, it was confirmed that from the 10th to the 12th, the patient met 15 relatives in Gwangju. Testing was conducted on them, and seven tested positive. Four tested negative, and four are still under examination.
Gwangju case 177 is a woman in her 30s residing in Geumho Daewoo Apartment, Chipyeong-dong, Seo-gu. She had contact with Songpa 60th and reportedly showed symptoms starting from the 14th.
Cases 177, 178, and 179 are the daughter, son, and husband of case 177, respectively.
A couple in their 60s living in a house in Usan-dong, Buk-gu, also tested positive and were classified as cases 181 and 182.
Case 183 is a woman in her 40s living in Twin Apartment, Yongbong-dong, Buk-gu, confirmed to be a relative of Songpa 60th.
Health authorities are focusing on thorough epidemiological investigations to identify additional movement paths and contacts.
Meanwhile, since the second wave of COVID-19 began on the 27th of last month, 150 people have been confirmed positive in Gwangju.
By infection route, there are 40 related to Gwangju Sarang Church, 32 from Geumyang Officetel, 28 from Ilgok Central Church, 14 from Gwangju Gosi Academy, 13 from a badminton club, 8 from Gwangneuksa Temple, 7 from contact with other cities/provinces (Songpa 60th), 5 imported cases, and 2 under investigation.
By age group, there are 5 under 10 years old, 6 teenagers, 5 in their 20s, 11 in their 30s, 20 in their 40s, 31 in their 50s, 42 in their 60s, 18 in their 70s, 8 in their 80s, and 4 in their 90s.
