Five Programs Including Clay and Book Art from August 4 to 28
Busan Haeundae Library operates experiential programs that capture the interest of children during the summer vacation period.

Exciting summer vacation, Haeundae Beach is great, but how about spending it at Haeundae Library?
Haeundae Library will hold the ‘2020 Summer Vacation Special Lectures’ for children aged 6 to 7 and elementary students from August 4 to 28.
There are five programs: ‘Five Senses Satisfaction Clay’, ‘Walking Korean Geography’, ‘My Art Museum - Impressionist Painter Exhibition’, ‘History Book Art’, and ‘I am also a Writer!’. Each program will be held four times.
‘Five Senses Satisfaction Clay’ runs from August 11 to August 19, every Tuesday and Wednesday from 1 PM to 3 PM. It is a fun and creative program for 7 teams of young children and their parents, where they read picture books and then express their impressions with clay.
‘Walking Korean Geography’ runs from August 11 to August 20, every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 AM to 12 PM. It is a geography class for elementary students in grades 4 to 6, exploring Korea’s beautiful landforms and learning about administrative districts, climate, and place names.
‘My Art Museum - Impressionist Painter Exhibition’ runs from August 19 to August 28, every Wednesday and Friday from 1 PM to 3 PM for elementary students in grades 4 to 6. Participants select works by their favorite impressionist painters, color them, and create their own exhibitions.
‘History Book Art’ runs from August 4 to August 25, every Tuesday from 1 PM to 3 PM. It is a class for elementary students in grades 4 to 6 that awakens the joy of reading through making books with various expressive possibilities.
‘I am also a Writer!’ runs from August 11 to August 20, every Tuesday and Thursday from 1 PM to 3 PM. It is a creative program for elementary students in grades 1 to 3 to express their everyday experiences in their living spaces through poetry and essays.
Those who wish to participate can visit the Haeundae Library website and ‘click’ starting from 10 AM on July 21. Only material and textbook fees are required; tuition is free.

Cheon Jeong-sook, director of Haeundae Library, said, “We have prepared programs that are very popular these days as experiential education,” adding, “Since they are held during the vacation period, they will greatly help children enjoy leisurely and form their self-identity.”
