Participation in the Forest Service-hosted Briefing on the 21st
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The special corporation Korea Forest Technicians Association announced on the 17th that it held a forum on the complete revision of the Forest Resources Act in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province on the 15th.
At the forum, the president of the Korea Forest Technicians Association, the Operating Committee of the Forest Technicians Association, the Korea Forest Technicians Association, the Korea Forest Business Corporation Association, the National Forest Skilled Workers Association, and the Korea Forest Engineering Association participated and discussed in depth the issues arising from the revision of the Forest Resources Act from the perspective of forest workers.
In particular, opinions were mainly expressed that the comprehensive content of forest business covered in the complete revision draft of the Forest Resources Act infringes on the areas of other laws under the jurisdiction of the Korea Forest Service, and that the newly included management consignment clause for forest business in the revision draft represents the interests of a specific group.
Accordingly, the Korea Forest Technicians Association united in opposition to the Korea Forest Service’s promotion of the complete revision draft of the Forest Resources Act.
