Minister Park Young-sun of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups is smiling brightly while giving a lecture on entrepreneurship and startups at Simseok High School in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, on the 17th.
View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 17th that Minister Park Young-sun visited Simseok High School in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, to encourage students in the startup club and gave a lecture on entrepreneurship and startups.
About 60 people, including Simseok High School students and parents, as well as observers from nearby schools, attended the lecture. Minister Park delivered a lecture titled "Create Your Own History."
Minister Park mentioned examples such as Kim Yuna, Bong Joon-ho, and Steve Jobs, saying, "(They) discovered what they loved and, through continuous effort and accumulation of time, were able to rise to the ranks of world-class masters," adding, "In the digital economy era accelerated after COVID-19, a shift in perspective and the power of connection will be the foundation for accumulating expertise and creating your own history."

He said, "The era of artificial intelligence (AI) based on big data is coming, and innovative ventures and startups are emerging as new leaders and growth engines of our economy," adding, "For the youth, who are the future of Korea, finding what they love, accumulating expertise, and dreaming and challenging themselves to become startup CEOs who change the world will also be a way to create their own history."
Simseok High School operates an AI invention startup club and startup marketing experiential activities through the Youth BizCool project. The Youth BizCool program, started by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in 2002, is a project aimed at nurturing 'convergent creative talents.' Currently, 487 schools are participating in the program.

Before the lecture, Minister Park visited the Simseok High School startup club exhibition booth. He viewed the idea creations made by students through BizCool activities and encouraged the participating students by asking about the motivation for creation and usage.
