The mayor stated, “In line with the government's announcement of the Korean New Deal comprehensive plan yesterday, from the second half of the year, we will fully promote so-called Gwangju-type Human Digital Green New Deal policies, including ▲AI-centered Digital New Deal ▲Green New Deal for realizing the Gwangju-type energy self-sufficient city (RE100 City Gwangju) ▲Human New Deal based on the Gwangju-type win-win job project.”
In particular, he emphasized, “Heads of public institutions need innovative management that finds new blue oceans by expanding online business and developing untact industries in response to the new demand, along with new business strategies that fit the new paradigm of the post-COVID-19 era and changes in non-face-to-face culture and consumption environment.”
He also ordered, “Each public institution should, at the turning point of this year, review the progress of the performance achievement plan set at the beginning of the year, evaluate the implementation of each target indicator, and establish and implement measures to enhance management performance in the second half of the year.”
Along with this, he said, “Although the spread of local infections is subsiding thanks to the efforts of quarantine authorities and active cooperation of citizens, the situation remains severe. Since the administrative measures currently in effect are extended until the 29th, all institutions should actively cooperate to ensure that not only employees but also citizens strictly comply.”
The mayor added, “As the spread of COVID-19 in the local community deepens citizens' anxiety and worries, and with the rainy season approaching, sudden heavy rains may cause casualties and property damage at any time, public institutions should prepare and implement plans to establish their own work discipline.” He also stated, “Any negligence in work discipline will be dealt with strictly regardless of rank or position.”
