[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Geon-ju] The Regional Humanities Center of the HK+ Northeast Asian Humanities and Social Sciences Research Institute at Wonkwang University will conduct an online lecture in July titled "Humanities Seen Through Paintings."
On the 13th, Wonkwang University announced that due to the unprecedented COVID-19 situation, the Regional Humanities Center has been preparing "Humanities Seen Through Paintings" since March through the YouTube channel "Wonkwang University HKplus Hamseong Humanities TV."
"Humanities Seen Through Paintings" contains humanities hidden within art history and features a total of six instructors.
The lectures will be uploaded in sequence, starting with Shin Jeong-ja, curator of Iksan W Museum of Art, presenting "Stories of Jewels in Famous Paintings," followed by Lee Kang-san, professor at Dankook University College of Arts, with "The Art Worlds of Korea, China, and Japan Seen Through Miaohe," and Lee Sang-hoon, a ceramic artist, with "Northeast Asia in Ceramics," among others.

The director of the HK+ Regional Humanities Center said, "Through this humanities lecture, we want to provide various perspectives for appreciating artworks," adding, "Increasing interest in the arts of Iksan is the purpose of the Regional Humanities Center."
