Martial Arts, 'Korea-France COVID-19 Response Webinar' Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) announced on the 9th that it held the 'Korea-France COVID-19 Response Webinar' jointly with MEDEF International, the French Business Confederation.
At the event, Shin Hak-cheol, Vice Chairman of LG Chem and Chairman of the Korea-France Business Council, St?phane Isra?l, President of MEDEF International, Thomas Courbe, Director of the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Jung Kyu-chul, Director of Economic Outlook at the Korea Development Institute (KDI), gave lectures on the economic and industrial trends of both countries and the response measures of governments and businesses.
St?phane Isra?l stated, "Korea has been recognized internationally as a model case in responding to COVID-19 due to its proactive quarantine measures and the public's participation in social distancing," adding, "I hope that through today's webinar, we can share experiences between the two countries and find wise ways to overcome the crisis."
Jung Kyu-chul, Director of Economic Outlook at KDI, said, "Korea's economic growth rate is expected to be the most favorable among advanced countries, supported by government fiscal policies such as the Digital New Deal and Green New Deal," but also noted, "Due to high external dependence, it is expected to be affected by the global economic situation."
