[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Min Jun-young] Actor Lee Soon-jae has once again apologized regarding the controversy that his wife allegedly instructed a former manager to perform personal tasks and work overtime.
On the 8th, Lee Soon-jae appeared on tbs FM's 'Kim Gyuri's Pongdang Pongdang' and talked about his 64-year acting career.
During the broadcast, Lee Soon-jae explained the reason he started acting: "I began acting in theater during the summer vacation of my third year in university. It was to save money to watch movies," adding, "Watching good movies, great actors, and direction made me realize it was art."
He said, "There is no completion in acting. Someone doing well does not mean acting is complete," and explained, "The advantage of our profession is the constant challenge of something new. The challenge of creation. Even in similar genres, because the characters are different, it is a creative job, so it is valuable, rewarding, and never boring."
He then shared his secret to maintaining his health to continue acting steadily for 64 years: "I don't make any special efforts for health management, but luckily, I am holding up well."
He also advised juniors, saying, "Because you have excellent qualities and abilities, if you build a solid foundation, broaden your perspective, and confidently think you will become a world-class actor, you can definitely become one."
Finally, regarding the recent power abuse controversy involving his former manager, he apologized, saying, "I would like to apologize for causing trouble over a trivial matter through this opportunity."
