Gwangju Buk-gu Provides Living Expenses Support for COVID-19 Hospitalized and Isolated Patients
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Moon In) announced on the 8th that it is providing living expenses support for residents who are hospitalized or quarantined due to COVID-19.
The living support expenses for hospitalized or quarantined individuals apply to those who have faithfully complied with treatment and quarantine measures according to relevant laws and have received notification of quarantine release, but have not received paid leave expenses.
The support criteria provide a one-time payment (one month's worth) for residents hospitalized or quarantined for 14 days or more, and for less than 14 days, the amount is calculated on a pro-rata basis according to the period.
The support amounts are ▲ 454,900 KRW for one person ▲ 774,700 KRW for two persons ▲ 1,002,400 KRW for three persons ▲ 1,230,000 KRW for four persons ▲ 1,457,500 KRW for five persons, and are calculated based on the number of household members registered on the resident registration and the hospitalization/quarantine period.
Applications for living support expenses can be made by the individual or a proxy by visiting the administrative welfare center of the resident's address with identification, bankbook, and power of attorney.
