Buan-gun Fully Supports Eco-Friendly Farmers' Crop Disaster Insurance
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Geon-ju] Buan-gun, Jeonbuk Province, is providing full support for the self-payment portion of crop disaster insurance premiums for eco-friendly farms, spending 30 million KRW of county funds.
According to Buan-gun on the 6th, crop disaster insurance is a project that supports the self-payment portion (20% of project costs) paid when subscribing to existing crop disaster insurance for farms practicing eco-friendly agriculture. Its purpose is to alleviate the management instability of eco-friendly farms caused by natural disasters, thereby promoting farm income and management stability and expanding eco-friendly agriculture.
Accordingly, from this year, eco-friendly farms can subscribe to crop disaster insurance for free by simply reporting it.
Until now, the county supported material assistance projects for rice cultivation complexes with a collective nature of 3 hectares or more to expand eco-friendly agriculture. From this year, this has been changed to production incentives so that small farms, rice-growing farms, and eco-friendly farms cultivating other crops can also benefit, providing support for all crop types.
