Celltrion Pharm Ships Global Procurement Volume of HIV Treatment Drug
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] Celltrion Pharm announced on the 6th that it has officially started shipping the HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) treatment 'CT-G7' supplied to the global procurement market. CT-G7 is an improved new drug developed independently by Celltrion, composed of three highly preferred ingredients in the market.
According to Celltrion Pharm, the product supplied this time will be provided to countries designated by international procurement organizations through Celltrion. Celltrion Pharm plans to steadily increase CT-G7 production volume in consideration of the supply and demand situation in the procurement market and the production schedule of other global chemical drugs.
In April, Celltrion obtained provisional approval for CT-G7 from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and has been negotiating with multiple international procurement organizations to enter the global procurement market. Through this, it secured a supply contract worth 16 million dollars and plans to sign a total supply contract worth 36 million dollars through additional contracts in the second half of this year.
Celltrion Pharm, responsible for chemical drug production within the Celltrion Group, passed the FDA inspection of the CT-G7 production facility flawlessly in March and recently significantly increased research and production personnel. It is proceeding with mass production and shipment of procurement quantities in line with the CT-G7 global procurement market supply schedule.
With this CT-G7 shipment, Celltrion Pharm has further strengthened its global chemical drug lineup. In particular, the diabetic neuropathy treatment 'CT-G4', scheduled to be supplied to the U.S., is in the final stage of commercial production, and by the third quarter of this year, it is expected to have a total of four global chemical drug production portfolios.
