The LG NanoCell TV is a premium LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) TV that utilizes ultra-fine particles about 1 nanometer (nm, one billionth of a meter) in size. The nano particles coated on the LCD panel precisely adjust the wavelength of light emitted from the backlight to reproduce colors close to natural colors.
The company explained that this product meets the energy efficiency grade 1 while maintaining key performance. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate that displays 120 frames per second with an IPS panel that has excellent viewing angles, providing smooth images even for fast-moving game videos.
It also supports various HDR (High Definition Range) formats such as ‘Dolby Vision IQ’, ‘HDR 10’, and ‘HLG’, as well as the surround sound technology ‘Dolby Atmos’, offering the best entertainment environment.
LG Electronics will conduct pre-orders for the new 65- and 55-inch models (model names: 65NANO87, 55NANO87) at LG Best Shops nationwide and LG Electronics’ official online stores until the 19th. Depending on the purchased model, various benefits such as up to 200,000 KRW cashback and a 6-month subscription to the domestic OTT (Over The Top, online video streaming) service ‘Watcha Play’ are provided.
The shipment prices for the new LG NanoCell AI ThinQ models are 2,440,000 KRW (model name: 65NANO87) and 1,590,000 KRW (model name: 55NANO87). A 75-inch new product (model name: 75NANO87) is planned to be released in August.
The newly released LG NanoCell AI ThinQ models are eligible for the Korea Energy Management Corporation’s top-efficiency home appliance rebate program, allowing an additional 10% rebate on the purchase amount up to a maximum of 300,000 KRW until the rebate fund is exhausted.
