According to Gyeongju City on the 4th, the confirmed case is the wife of the 53rd confirmed patient (68 years old) in the Gyeongju area, who was diagnosed the day before. This confirmed patient was classified as a close contact while asymptomatic and tested positive after being examined at the Gyeongju Public Health Center screening clinic on the 3rd.
The husband (68), who was confirmed positive the day before, is presumed to have been infected after attending a multi-level marketing company meeting in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province on the 24th of last month. As of 4 PM on the 4th, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the Gyeongbuk area has increased to 1,350.
