This is the first time since 1945, when the All-Star Game was canceled due to World War II, and the second time in history.
The MLB office announced on the 3rd (local time), "Due to the spread of COVID-19, the 2020 season All-Star Game, which was scheduled to be held at the Los Angeles (LA) Dodgers Stadium, will be canceled."
The office explained, "The 2021 All-Star Game will be held as planned at Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves, and the LA Dodgers will host the 2022 All-Star Game."
