Busan Gijang-gun Responds Again to COVID-19 'Emergency'
‘Social Distancing’ Reinforced Again... Complete Suspension of Festivals and Events
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] All public events where many people gather, such as festivals, exhibitions, and briefings, have been suspended again in Gijang-gun, Busan.
Gijang-gun, Busan, has tightened its vigilance to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
On the 3rd, Gijang-gun announced that it would strengthen 'social distancing' to prevent the continuous spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As COVID-19 is rapidly spreading again to local areas, all public events held in Gijang-gun, including local festivals, exhibitions, and briefings, are indefinitely suspended. For private events, those that are not urgent are recommended to be postponed or canceled.
Accordingly, the operation of youth training centers, cultural etiquette schools, and counseling and education centers for children and adolescents, except for the seven libraries operated by Gijang-gun, has been completely suspended.
Educational courses and programs that have received positive responses from parents will be replaced with non-face-to-face (online) classes.
All eight types and seventeen courses of education, such as urban agriculture expert training for farmers and fishermen, will be temporarily postponed or canceled.
