Turkey's COVID-19 Cases Surpass 200,000
[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] The cumulative number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Turkey has surpassed 200,000.
On the 2nd (local time), the Turkish Ministry of Health announced that the cumulative number of COVID-19 confirmed cases increased by 1,192 from the previous day to 201,098. The daily number of new confirmed cases falling to the 1,100 range is the first time in 10 days since the 22nd of last month. The cumulative death toll rose by 19 to 5,150.

Fahrettin Koca, the Turkish Minister of Health, stated on Twitter, "In the past 24 hours, 52,313 COVID-19 tests were conducted, bringing the total number of tests to 3,433,963." He added, "1,035 patients are receiving intensive care in the ICU, and 175,422 have recovered."
