Incheon Airport Union: "Direct Employment Agreement for Security Screening Is False" Launches Campaign for President's Resignation
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] The Incheon International Airport Corporation Labor Union announced on the 2nd that it will launch a campaign for the resignation of President Koo Bon-hwan in relation to the push for direct employment of security screening personnel.
The Incheon Airport union pointed out that regarding the corporation's explanation that "security screening personnel were temporarily assigned to a subsidiary and then agreed to be directly employed," the agreement from the 3rd Labor-Management-Expert Council in February explicitly stated that "considering the resolution of legal issues related to direct employment, personnel would be assigned to a subsidiary," but "nevertheless, the corporation distributed a press release containing a unilateral interpretation that subsidiary assignment was a temporary assignment before direct employment."
Additionally, the Incheon Airport union criticized, "The corporation also claims that the first labor-management agreement in 2017 is the basis for the direct employment agreement, but this was a half agreement in which the corporation's union did not participate."
