Gwangjin-gu Holds Public Forum for Public-Private Cooperation Agenda Development
Conducting the '2020 Min-Gwan Cooperation Agenda Discovery Forum' to Identify Public-Private Cooperation Agendas
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Seon-gap) will hold the ‘2020 Public Forum for Discovering Public-Private Cooperation Agendas’ to identify public-private cooperation projects.
The ‘2020 Public Forum for Discovering Public-Private Cooperation Agendas’ is a platform where residents themselves discover agendas for regional development and seek solutions. Members of the Gwangjin-gu Cooperation Council’s subcommittees and local residents gather to have in-depth discussions on their areas of interest.
The forum will be operated with strict quarantine measures such as wearing masks, disinfecting the venue, and maintaining appropriate distance with a small number of participants to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The event will be held at the Gwangjin-gu Office auditorium, with discussions on welfare and health on the 7th, culture, arts, and sports on the 8th, and education, youth, urban, and environmental topics on the 10th.
Additionally, the cooperation agendas submitted online in April will be shared, and there will be time to discuss urgent cooperation agendas that need to be resolved in the region, as well as improvement and implementation plans for the discovered agendas.
The agendas discovered through this forum will go through departmental review and the first selection process by the Gwangjin-gu Cooperation Council’s subcommittees, then the final priority will be decided through mobile electronic voting by Gwangjin-gu residents, and the projects will be implemented next year.
Mayor Kim Seon-gap said, “Through this public-private cooperation forum, I hope to gather the wisdom of the residents who know the local issues best, as the saying goes, ‘The more wisdom, the better,’ to lead positive changes in Gwangjin.” He added, “The district will continue to do its best to materialize Gwangjin’s development based on public-private cooperation in district administration.”
Last April, the district enacted a basic ordinance to activate public-private cooperation and formed a cooperation council in May, making efforts to establish a foundation for community cooperation.
