Gyeongnam Office of Education Implements Industrial Safety and Health Technical Support Project
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] The Gyeongnam Office of Education announced on the 1st that, in collaboration with specialized technical institutions, it will implement the 'Industrial Safety and Health Technical Support Project' at 200 schools and educational administrative institutions starting this month.
With the full application of the Industrial Safety and Health Act to educational institutions from this year, schools will conduct 'hazard factor investigations' and 'risk assessments' in educational sites.
The Office will carry out the 'Industrial Safety and Health Technical Support Project' targeting 200 institutions, including schools that wish to participate, this year.
This project involves a technical support team investigating human and material risk factors that may cause injuries during work on-site, devising improvement measures, and providing guidance and advice to on-site supervisors, safety and health managers of the Office of Education, and the superintendent of education as the business owner.
From March 9 to April 13, the Office surveyed schools and institutions to confirm participation in the 'Industrial Safety and Health Technical Support Project.'

Additionally, by completing a consignment contract with specialized technical institutions through bidding, a foundation has been established for the early settlement of the Industrial Safety and Health Act in educational institutions.
