Kim Hyun-mi "Real Estate Policy Is Working Well Overall"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] On the 30th, Kim Hyun-mi, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, responded to criticism that the government's various real estate policies have failed by saying, "I believe they are working comprehensively."
Minister Kim appeared at the National Assembly Budget and Accounts Committee plenary session that day and responded to independent lawmaker Lee Yong-ho's criticism that "despite announcing 22 real estate measures, there is still much controversy over housing prices" by saying, "This is the fourth (measure) announced."
Regarding Lee's repeated question, "Is the report that the 22nd real estate policy was announced incorrect?" Minister Kim said, "The media combined all sorts of policies and called it the 22nd," adding, "I have no intention to argue over numbers."
In response to the criticism that new real estate measures were introduced because previous policies failed, she said, "Some policies have been implemented while others have not, so I think we need to see the results of all policies working comprehensively in the future."
