Gyeongnam Province Hosts the 23rd Gyeongsangnam-do Tourism Souvenir Contest
Discovering Excellent Souvenirs with Unique Characteristics and Differentiation of Gyeongnam
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Gyeongnam Province and the Gyeongsangnam-do Tourism Association announced on the 30th that they will hold the "23rd Gyeongsangnam-do Tourism Souvenir Contest" to discover representative tourism souvenirs of Gyeongnam.
This contest targets "folk crafts, industrial products, and processed/functional foods." Individuals or groups wishing to participate can apply in person or by mail to the tourism department of the city or county office that has jurisdiction over their residence or business location from August 31 to September 3. Submitted works must then be delivered to the "Yung" gallery on the 1st floor of Building 3 at Munsung University in Changwon on September 7 and 8.
The submitted works will be evaluated by a panel of experts in related fields, and 19 winning entries will be selected. A total prize of 8.7 million KRW will be awarded (Grand Prize: 1 person 2 million KRW, Gold Prize: 1 person 1 million KRW, Silver Prize: 2 persons 700,000 KRW each, Bronze Prize: 3 persons 500,000 KRW each, Encouragement Prize: 4 persons 300,000 KRW each, Honorable Mention: 8 persons 200,000 KRW each) along with plaques.
