Passenger ferry capsizes in Bangladesh... 30 dead, 10 missing

According to local media and foreign news agencies on the 29th (local time), the ferry sank after colliding with another large vessel in the Buriganga River in Dhaka in the morning.
The ferry was hit from behind by another ship while trying to dock at the pier. It was reported that the area near the pier was congested with several vessels mixed together at the time of the accident.
It is estimated that about 50 to 60 people were on board the ferry at the time of the accident.
So far, it has been confirmed that 8 women and 3 children drowned. About 20 people swam to shore.
An official from the rescue authorities said, "So far, 30 bodies have been found," and "about 10 people are still missing."

The authorities initially announced that 23 people had died immediately after the accident, but the death toll was revised as more bodies were discovered.
