From this year, the county is providing Haenam Love Gift Certificates worth 1 million won to new farmers who have newly registered as agricultural management entities. The target is farmers aged 20 or older who have returned to farming in Haenam within 5 years and registered as agricultural management entities after January 2.
By providing Haenam Love Gift Certificates, it is expected to induce consumption within the region and for new farmers to use it as seed money for settling in farming.
Along with this, since 2020, new projects such as 'Visiting Integration Education' and the creation of harmonious villages for returnees to farming and fishing villages and local residents to live together are being promoted.
The village-level visiting integration education program operates in villages where many returnees to farming and rural areas reside or where there are conflicts with local residents, providing integration education programs for returnees and local residents together.
The harmonious village for returnees to farming and fishing villages targets villages where returnees and local residents live together, operating programs such as community building and mutual empathy programs.
Additionally, Haenam-gun has been selected for the 2020 returnee farming and fishing village stay-type support center project, with an investment of 3.5 billion won, accelerating the project implementation.
Through the stay-type support center project, multi-purpose community facilities such as stay-type housing, educational facilities, community practice farms, childcare rooms, lounges, libraries, and fitness rooms will be established and operated, building a comprehensive support system so that prospective returnees can reside for a certain period and prepare for farming.
Returnees to farming and rural areas can understand rural life while receiving education on the start-up process, information on land and housing, as well as various information and training to successfully settle in Haenam-gun.
In addition, continuous support is provided to returnees with a budget of 565 million won secured by expanding support for farm house repair costs and income base creation projects for settlement.
