Following Coca-Cola, Pepsi also says "No Ads on Facebook"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Following Coca-Cola, PepsiCo has also joined the boycott of Facebook advertising.
On the 27th (local time), according to Fox Business and Bloomberg News, PepsiCo, the producer of Pepsi-Cola, has internally decided to suspend advertising on Facebook during July and August.
Earlier, Coca-Cola announced on the 26th that it would halt social media advertising, including on Facebook and Twitter, for at least 30 days. Coca-Cola added that this action was not solely targeted at Facebook.
Global companies have launched a large-scale advertising boycott against Facebook, criticizing the platform for poor management of posts that incite racism and hate.
More than 90 companies have joined the '#StopHateForProfit' campaign so far.
