Liquidation Costs Approximately 540 Billion KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Microsoft (MS) is closing all of its offline stores.
According to local media, MS announced on the 26th (local time) that it will close more than 80 retail stores operated in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and other countries, except for some experiential stores.
Local media reported that this strategy is to focus more on online sales.
Stores that had temporarily suspended operations since March due to the impact of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) will be permanently closed. Four locations, including Washington where MS headquarters is located, New York, Sydney in Australia, and London in the United Kingdom, will be converted into experiential centers.
