Mother and Daughter Fined for Assaulting Husband Who Cheated
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] A mother and daughter who assaulted the husband who cheated on them were sentenced to fines.
The Jeju District Court Criminal Division 2 (Judge Lee Jang-wook) announced on the 26th that A (58) and B (36), who were indicted for joint injury to a family member and joint assault, were each sentenced to a fine of 1 million won.
The court stated the reason for sentencing, saying, "Considering various circumstances such as the details of the crime and sentencing guidelines, we chose a fine."
A and B, who are mother and daughter, were brought to trial for allegedly hitting C (59), A's husband and B's father, with a handbag and other items in a hospital room in Gwangju on April 23 of last year.
They are also accused of assaulting C's younger brother, who tried to stop the assault.
